VSE engineers and technicians have re-engineered and reverse engineered many weapon, target, and UAV components and devices that have included proposing design changes to UAV airframe, engine accessories, payload, and components. VSE has been involved in conducting crash damage assessments to the PIONEER UAV and determined cause of failure, methods for restoration, and in most cases, identified components salvageable for re-use. VSE has also provided training personnel to support the DOD UAV Training Center, training more than 300 external pilots and maintenance specialists.
